Scope:
Laser cladding and repair may include consultancy services in Laser Cladding processes (blown powder or wire) and DED processes, to improve behaviour against wear and corrosion, or to repair damaged or worn out pieces with a near-net-shape technique.
The requirements, geometry and target functionalities will be defined by the company, and based on that information, the appropriate filler materials and application technique will be selected. Tests will be carried out to identify the main parameters that influence the characteristics of the deposited coating to optimize the process.
The service is limited to consultancy and won’t extend down to complete process development. The requesting company must indicate the target application and specifications, provide the base materials, and agree with a simplified geometry valid for the feasibility test.
